Courgette/Zucchini Squash Recipes?
4th-Jun-2009 02:26 pm
Hello everybody! My mum and I just harvested three GIANT zucchini squashes from our garden, and now we don't know how to cook them! Since I'm also getting into Asian cooking, I was wondering if there were any good recipes for them. What's your favourite way to cook/eat courgettes and squashes? Also, our plant is a zucchini blossom, which apparently is a gourmet delicacy. Do any of you have any suggestions of how to cook/serve the blossoms?

Thank you for all your suggestions :D !!

Slice into small thinnish pieces, blanch until just soft, drain and lightly squeeze the liquid out, salt and sesame oil with a tiny bit of crushed fresh garlic and garnish with sesame seeds.

Slice into cookie-sized rounds (not too thick), dip into beaten egg, dredge lightly in flour, fry on both sides. You have to put them immediately in the pan after dredging in flour. Serve with soy sauce mixed with a few drops of vinegar. If you want a more exciting sauce, mix soy sauce and vinegar with a little sesame oil, finely chopped green onions, hot pepper flakes and a little crushed garlic.

They both go with plain white sticky rice.
